Lawful bases and data protection rights

· Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:

o Information may be sought regarding the poetry sector as part of the organisation\’s development of services and activities to

support the sector. Information may be sought in support of fundraising, in line with the Fundraising Regulator.

How long we keep information

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity. For example, we will keep a record of donations subject to Gift Aid for at least seven years to comply with HMRC rules.

If you request that we stop sending you marketing emails we will keep a record of your contact details and appropriate information to enable us to comply with your request not to be contacted by us.

How to complain
